* Made from 304S grade which is closer to grade 316 than 304 and is more resistant to weathering and rusting.
If you do not live near the ocean, this 304S grade hanger could be left outside.
If you live near the ocean, we recommend bringing the hanger inside, or washing with fresh water occasionally, as the salty air can be incredibly corrosive.
You might also consider our 201S grade sock hanger, which costs less, and is fine if you live no where near salty air and don't leave the hanger outside. Or for those who live anywhere near salty conditions or prefer to leave their sock hanger outside, we recommend the 316 Marine Grade sock hanger.

Biome standard 201 grade metal pegs - If you tend to bring your pegs inside or live far away from any salt, or want them for indoor use, you would be fine with the 201 grade. Not suitable for anywhere near the ocean / salty air.
Biome 304 metal pegs: OK to leave on the line if you live no where near salt! If you have salty breeze, do not leave them on the line as they will be constantly hit by salty air. They may be ok outside if left in a bucket with holes in the bottom - that way the rain will wash the pegs, and being inside the bucket they are sheltered from gathering salt from the wind. Alternatively, bring the pegs inside.
